Description

The level of this course is intermediate
Describe architectural concepts related to WebSphere Application Server v5.0 Install and configure WebSphere Application Server v5.0 (base product and Network Deployment) Assemble and install Java enterprise applications Configure and manage Java enterprise applications using v5.0 administrative tools (Administrative Console and wsadmin) Configure security for application resources Deploy applications in clustered environments View application server and application component performance information Troubleshoot problems using available tools and log files



Prerequisites

Students should have a basic understanding of Internet concepts, experience using a Web browser and basic operational skills for Windows 2000 operating system. The students should also have basic administrative skills for a Web server (for example: IBM HTTP Server or Apache). The student does not need prior experience with other versions of WebSphere Application Server.



Acquired Skills

This course is designed for System Administrators and Webmasters who will install, configure and manage Web-based applications on WebSphere Application Server.In this four day course, students learn how to install, configure and maintain IBM WebSphere Application Server Network Deployment v5.0. Students will also learn to deploy enterprise Java applications in a single machine or clustered configuration.
