VENDOR CERTIFICATION PROGRAM: CAD—MECHANICAL

This Vendor Certification Program is a fast track one to give you sufficient knowledge and skills for Mechanical Design to become Vendor Certified.

Before products or equipment are manufactured, they are usually first designed virtually through the use of Computer-Aided Design (CAD). Mechanical designers in manufacturing, industrial design, product design, and engineering utilize CAD to create the detailed designs needed to manufacture products as diverse as consumer appliances and simple tools.

Mechanical Drafting applicants receive training on recent releases of AutoCAD that provides knowledge in developing technical drawings. applicants will learn to combine graphic skills with problem-solving techniques to create efficient, easily manufactured, and aesthetically pleasing products through theories and labs.

Key2Careers College's CAD-Mechanical Design Certificate Program prepares applicants to design products, tools and machines for manufacturing processes, and to handle the practical side of mechanical and manufacturing design with training in engineering graphics, elements of machine design and static of materials. The curriculum is designed to equip applicants with technical knowledge, methods, and skills in support of engineering while becoming proficient in CAD.
