After Completion
of the program the graduate will be able to do the following
tasks:
• Design and build a media rich or convergence website
• Create interface designs for streaming content and web casting
• Use Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, and Macromedia's Fireworks to create
design layers and content for import/export into 3D Studio Max.
• Know the fundamentals of Linear (Traditional) and non Linear (Non-Traditional)
narrative and story design.
• Know and understand the design issues as related to greater interactivity
between the user/client and server
• Use of color in design
• The use of line Texture, negative and positive space, proportion and
composition through purposeful experiments.
• Communication in two and three dimensions and appreciation of the importance
of such communications
• Produce ads
• Brochures and promotional material using the page layout application
QuarkXpress
• Create original illustrations using the vector based drawing tools of
Adobe Illustrator.
• Understand the concepts of raster - based image editing and creation.
• Use and integrate advanced features using the professional color Postscript
illustration tools of adobe illustrator and adobe dimensions
• Understand and create importable images to and from popular graphics
file formats including prepress considerations and requirements.
