IMMIGRATION: VISAS & PERMITS

 

As an international student, you must provide proof to the Canadian government that a Canadian educational institution is expecting you, and that you have the financial means to live here while you study. The following processes are extremely important for you to follow. Remember that the processes and deadlines are in place to ensure that your move to Key2Careers College is a smooth and easy one. ACCOMMODATION

 

Key2Careers College can arrange a wide variety of accommodations for students. Whether it be a home stay, renting a room in a house, an apartment, or renting optional housing, we will ensure that your housing is comfortable and safe. Two types of housing options are available for students:

 

Homestay:

Live with a real Canadian family! Learn their culture while practice the new language you are learning! This is one of the most valuable and practical experiences in learning a new language.


All home stay families are carefully screened and selected to make sure these families are caring, supportive, and suitable for international students.

  • Home stay families will provide a private room to each home stay student.

  • Traveling time to Key2Careers College is 10 to 45 minutes by public transit system.

  • All basic daily necessaries, such as laundry facility, clean bed sheets, and towels are provided by your home stay family.

  • Cost of Homestay is $800 appriximately per month with 2 or 3 meals.

Other Accommodation:

Apartments and single rooms are available throughout Toronto for as low as $400 to $500 per month. We will assist you in your search for accommodation. In this case you get a furnished room with a sharing kitchen and you can either cook at home or eat out. Homestay is a better arrangement as in most cases 3 meals are included and this will save you the hassle of cooking or eating out.

Placement fee: $150


AIRPORT PICKUP

 

We can arrange to have a school representative meet students at the airport and drive them to their residence. Key2Careers requires at least one-week notice to schedule your airport reception. You will provide us your airline name, flight number, terminal number, and arrival time. In case of change of flight schedule, delay or other circumstances in which you will not show up, you must notify Key2Careers College.

There is a fee of $125 for this service.


HEALTH INSURANCE

 

All international students in Canada must have health insurance. For Medical coverage international students must arrange for private health insurance coverage.

The Key2Careers College is pleased to provide international students with access to comprehensive health insurance.

Coverage is available for hospital and doctors visits, air ambulance, prescription drugs, dental emergencies, legal and diplomatic referral, assistance with lost documents, contacting relatives, interpretation and translation services, and more.

Student health insurance can be purchased for $900/year or $500/6 months depending upon your course. Monthly insurance is priced at $85/month.


IMMIGRATION SERVICES

 

Canada is a country known for its immigrant population. Most of our students who come to Canada, after they finish their course ususally continue further education and then apply for a work permit. They may then work for a year or two and then apply for Canadian immigration. Our in-house immigration lawyer will assist you with your immigration.


LIVING EXPENSES

 

Living expenses(Accomodation+Food+Transportation) in Canada have been estimated to be approximately 800-$1000 per month depending upon your lifestyle.


SCHOLARSHIPS

 

In order to promote academic excellence, Key2Careers College provides student scholarships of upto $1000 to eligible candidates. In order to qualify for this scholarship, you should have:

  • Secured at least 80% as your high school aggregate.

  • Have an IELTS score of over 7.0

TRANSPORTATION

 

Best way to travel around Toronto is by the local transit system known as TTC (Toronto Transit Commission). A monthly pass can be obtained for $100 that allows unlimited travel in Toronto area.
