The Key2Careers industry-leading Vendor Certification Networking Program of CompTia/Microsoft/Unix/ Cisco is designed for the individual to become trained and certified on multiple operating systems. Students receive software training in Microsoft Windows Server 2003, Networks, Desktop Support, Security and Linux training. By including hardware training and certification, they will be trained to tackle the integration of hardware and software systems in a networked Environment.

UNIX- This hands on course provides training on standard UNIX/Linux commands and utilities used for day to day tasks including file manipulation, program execution and control, and effective use of the shell and X Window system. The course presents the concepts necessary to understand the way UNIX works as well as the system's most commonly used commands. Data manipulation utilities and shell syntax for synthesizing command pipelines are emphasized. Bourne and Korn shell programming is introduced so students will be able to read and modify existing shell scripts as well as create their own. The X Window System is also introduced from a user's perspective, including configuration of the user's environment, use of the window manager, and use of several standard X client utility programs such as xterm. Proficiency in applying new skills is reinforced with extensive hands on exercises after each module.
Cisco CCNA- The CCNA certification (Cisco Certified Network Associate) indicates a foundation in and apprentice knowledge of networking. CCNA certified professionals can install, configure, and operate LAN, WAN, and dial access services for small networks (100 nodes or fewer), including but not limited to use of these protocols: IP, IGRP, Serial, Frame Relay, IP RIP, VLANs, RIP, Ethernet, Access Lists.
This program is modular and the individual can take the full program or any module. The Certificates are issued by CompTia/Microsoft/Unix/Cisco after passing their exams.
